Personal Stylist

WITH PERSONAL STYLE,
WOMEN GENERALLY FALL INTO THREE MAIN GROUPS.

  • Women who have a well-developed and comfortable sense of their own style and make good personal style choices.  These women are sometimes simply time poor or looking for a fresh insight and a bit of fashion adventure.
  • Women who are looking for something different or contemplating a major change and need the expertise and experience of a personal stylist to provide guidance and coaching.
  • Women who don’t give their style any thought or don’t think it matters.

Through my work as a Personal Stylist, I see that women generally fall into three main groups when it comes to their personal style:

  • Women who have a well-developed and comfortable sense of their own style and make good fashion choices.

  • I’ve been promoted at work and I need to take a ‘step up’ with my look and image
  • I am interested in seeing what new style I can explore
  • My weight and body have changed and I don’t know how dress it
  • Moving into a new phase of my life and need some coaching to move forward
  • I want to change my dress sense to match my lifestyle and personality.  I’m stuck in a time warp
  • I don’t really know much about fashion but I am curious
  • I need to spend time on myself

Potential
ISSUES

I see many women with a range of issues regarding their dress and personal image. The one's below are frequently raised.

ISSUES THAT WOMEN FACE

  • Thinking that it is all about ‘what’s on trend’ and
not buying to balance ‘classic’ and trends pieces.
  • Don’t know how to dress a changed
    body shape.
  • Returning to work after
    a break.
  • Don’t spend enough time on
    their image.
  • Stuck in the past.
  • Colour wears you rather than you
    wearing the colour.
  • Navigating the fine line of
    age appropriate dressing.
  • You wear twenty percent of your wardrobe
    eighty percent of the time.
  • Shop randomly, without planning and
regard for the rest of your wardrobe.
  • Get exasperated by the thought of shopping.

Lifestyle
DRESSING

Essentially, we buy clothing in four main purpose groupings: career, socialising, home life and recreational pursuits.  To know you have the clothing and image that represents you in every aspect of your life is empowering.

Women’s wardrobe requirements are complex and varied due to the nature of lifestyles and the many roles women play.  To learn how to build a wardrobe and style that covers the groups successfully, has the flexibility to cover the different roles, and meets all the necessary requirements is very important and highly satisfying.

I see many woman in business struggle with knowing how to inject individuality and style into their work clothing and grooming, and achieve an overall ’look’ which they ‘stamp’ as their own.  For those in a corporate sea of navy, black, and grey suiting, I can work with you to move away from this standard uniform and feel confident that your choices are appropriate for the environment and the position you hold.  Learning how to do this is a liberating and timesaving process.

Many women who are working from home managing the household, family or a business, face hurdles buying clothing and maintaining an image they like and is current.  I can teach you the many different ways and options to achieving this whilst including important lifestyle factors such as budget suitability, clothing durability and versatility.

Woman wanting to develop their personal brand and image, growing your own unique style is only one-step to building it but is often one of the most difficult and the most obvious.  The image you present is highly influential in how you are perceived.  Maintaining and developing the right one for you is key.  I can help you move through change, breaking old habits and exploring image options that assist you in building a style that connects to the image you are seeking to build.  Best results will come from addressing all the elements of personal styling.
