ANNABEL HAYLES

I am a Melbourne based Personal Stylist, specialising in guiding my clients to develop their own personal style.

My expertise comes from a broad range of experience in creative design and styling for individuals, spaces and events. In each of these disciplines I have years of practical experience as well as having undertaken specific formal tertiary study.

These studies were in:

• Visual Merchandising,
• Event Management,
• Professional Styling and
• Professional Colour Consultation.

I have been awarded the Diploma of Professional Styling with the Australian College of Professional Stylists and become a certified Colour Consultant with colour expert, Wendy Alexander.

Before my Personal Styling career I worked in the field of Event Styling and Management. I began in London working for Inventive, a boutique event management company specialising in bespoke events for clients such as Saatchi and Saatchi, M&C Saatchi, AOL and British Airways. Melbourne brought me home to work as an in-house Senior Event Manager for professional services firms Ashurst (formerly Blake Dawson) and Deloitte, both having diverse client bases.

Prior to Event Management I began my working life in the creative discipline of Visual Merchandising. I studied VM at Croydon Park TAFE , South Australia and then went on to work for John Martin's and David Jones Department stores and independent retailers with a focus on fashion and lifestyle.

At the same time I was able to gain additional experience by working as a guest lecturer in Visual Merchandising at Croydon Park TAFE, South Australia and rolled out in-house Visual Merchandising training for John Martin's staff.

I see personal styling as a natural extension of my experience and background.
